So Syngonium founder Elena Glasgow at home in Paris, surrounded by her private Syngonium collection

Rare Syngoniums, rooted in Paris

What started as a modest attempt to grow a few Syngoniums in Paris has become a full-blown private collection. These are not fragile newcomers: every plant here has already endured several generations of European cultivation, which means they handle humidity, heating, and even Parisian apartments with surprising grace. Some arrived from Indonesia, Thailand, or the United States — but by now, they are thoroughly European, if not entirely Parisian. The collection is curated (and slightly obsessed over) by Elena Glasgow.

Not just green: a world of Syngonium colours

Why Syngoniums? Because I was never satisfied with just “green.” These plants offer everything from cream to pastel to unapologetically bright pinks — colors that sometimes look painted rather than grown. Each Syngonium is unpredictable, dramatic, and occasionally moody (in other words, a perfect match for Paris). I collect them not because it’s easy, but because each one feels like living art with a story.
